Miriam Mirri

Miriam Mirri is an Italian designer born in Bologna in 1964, currently living and working in Milan. She graduated from Scuola Superiore di Disen Anatomico and studied design and communication at the Università del Progetto at Reggio Emilia. She started her career in London by working with architect Nigel Coates, and then she was the assistant to Stefano Giovannoni. Since 2000, he has been running his own design studio. Her work includes everyday objects, animal accessories, furniture and watches created for brands such as Alessi, United Pets, Häagen-Dazs and Mandarina Duck. Soft lines, emotional message and functionality are characteristic of its projects. The most famous works include "Tigrito" and "Lupita" animals and the "Big Love" collection. In 2006 she received the Fritz Henkel Award for Innovation. Her projects were presented at numerous national and international exhibitions.
