Gabriele Chiave

Gabriele Chiave is an Italian designer who combines functionality with an artistic expression in his work. He was born in 1978 in Metz, and spent his childhood in different parts of the world, including in Dakar, Caracas and Buenos Aires. He graduated from design in Milan. He gained his professional experience at Marc Sadler's studio and at IS European Design Center. In 2007 he joined Marcel Wanders Studio in Amsterdam, where for 15 years he was a creative director, supervising projects for brands such as Kartell, Polorma, Flos, Cappellini or Alessi. In 2022, after closing the Wanders studio, the Controvento design collective co -founded, which promotes team cooperation and equal division of merits in projects. Currently, he is the Vice President of Creative at Estée Lauder Companies, supervising 32 cosmetic brands.
