A carafe from the Eugenia collection of the Italian brand Alessi. Made of glass with a transparent texture, which improves the visual attractiveness of the served drink. Characteristic for the Eugenia collection, the shape captivating with a minimalist design as well as lines with an open angle, in Japanese "Donkaku", which become a leitmotine for the whole series.
Naoto Fukasawa is a Japanese industrial designer, known for his minimalist style and philosophy of "unknown design", in which the form results from the natural habits of the user. He was born in 1956, studied at Tama Art University in Tokyo. He started his career at Ideo in California, and after returning to Japan he founded his own studio. He collaborated with brands such as Muji, Herman Miller, B&B Italia, Alessi or Maruni. Fukasawa designs furniture, electronics and everyday items, always for harmony, minimalism and functions. His works are often awarded and staged all over the world. He is also an academic lecturer and a member of the design committee in technology companies.
