Gianfranco Frattini

Gianfranco Frattini was an Italian architect and designer considered one of the key figures of Italian post -war modernism. He graduated from architecture in Milan and cooperated with Gio Pontim, which had a significant impact on his aesthetics. In 1956 he was a co -founder of ADI - the Industrial Design Association. He created furniture, lamps and interiors working with companies such as Cassina, Arteluce and Bernini. His style combined elegant minimalism with functionality and master craftsmanship. Iconic projects, such as the Nesting table or the Boalum lamp (created from Livio Castiglioni), remain the classics of design. Frattini also designed the interiors of hotels, shops and private residences, and his achievements had a lasting influence on Italian and world design.
