ALFA Table lamp is a classic from the 1950s. The nickel -plated metal structure has a shade made of crystal glass with a grooved structure. Metal parts are formed by hand. The base of the binding is made of dark marble. The light passes through the lampshade in a distracted way and partly shines down.

Sergio Mazza is an Italian designer and architect, born in 1931 in Milan. In 1955 he began his own business, focusing on furniture design and industrial design. In 1959 he co -founded the company Artemide together with Ernesto Gismondi, contributing to the development of modern lighting. His lamp "Alfa" from 1959, combining glass, marble and metal, became a design icon. In the 1960s, Mazza also designed chairs made of formed fiberglass, which are popular among collectors. In 1961 he began working with Giuliana Gramigna in the SMC studio, focusing on furniture design and industrial design. His works characterized by a combination of functionality with elegance have gained recognition around the world. Mazza is considered one of the pioneers of the Italian design of the 20th century.
