Castore Floor Lamp Artemide

Castore is one of the most famous collections of the Italian brand Artemide. Elegant luminaires are made of hand -inflatable glass and finished with thermoplastic resin. The spherical design of the diffuser is reinforced with a removable and narrowing glowing shaft, which ensures a gentle transition from the strong diffuser light to the structure area.

Michele De Lucchi

Michele de Lucchi is one of the most valued Italian architects known for combining craft sensitivity with modern design. A member of the avant -garde groups Studio Alchimia and Memphis, opposing modernist Emu functionalism. He collaborated with such brands as Artemide, Alessi, Hermès, Kartell, Olivetti and Vitra. His most famous project is the Tolomeo lamp (1987, with Giancarlo Fassina), an icon of world design. He also created office architecture, exhibitions and pavilions, including for Enel, Deutsche Bank and Piaggio. His works are in the MOMA, Center Pompidou and Di Milano triennale collections.
