Turbo pendant lamp was created in 1965, achieving great success over the years. The design is very elegant at the same time simple in form. The project's inspiration was the lightness of a paper lamp, but in a more durable and stable version. The lamp is created by a metal construction.
The lamp is available in two sizes; 36 cm and 62 cm.
Louis Weisdorf is a Danish designer and architect known for innovative lamps from the 1960s and 70s. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, and his career included graphic, industrial and interior design. He collaborated with Tivoli Gardens and designers such as Verner Pan Ton and poul Henningsen. His best-known projects are concylies, guy, turbo and multi-life lamps. Weisdorf was a pioneer in creating lamps from modular elements, which enabled various configurations and controlling the direction of light. His works produced by Lyfa have become icons of Danish design. Currently, Weisdorf lamps are in the brand's offer Gubi. The designer remains one of the most valued artists in the history of Danish design.
