The Pulcina brewer designed by Michele de Lucchi, thanks to the internal shape of a special heater, automatically stops filtering coffee at the right moment. This precise moment helps eliminate the final filtering step that generates a burnt and bitter aftertaste, ensuring only the best properties of the coffee are preserved and enhancing its full aroma.
The "V" shape of the spout, resembling a chick's beak, is specially designed to perfectly cut the drops when pouring without dripping.
The brewer is not dishwasher safe. It should be washed with hot running water and a non-abrasive cloth.
Michele de Lucchi is one of the most valued Italian architects known for combining craft sensitivity with modern design. A member of the avant -garde groups Studio Alchimia and Memphis, opposing modernist Emu functionalism. He collaborated with such brands as Artemide, Alessi, Hermès, Kartell, Olivetti and Vitra. His most famous project is the Tolomeo lamp (1987, with Giancarlo Fassina), an icon of world design. He also created office architecture, exhibitions and pavilions, including for Enel, Deutsche Bank and Piaggio. His works are in the MOMA, Center Pompidou and Di Milano triennale collections.
