Aldo Rossi

Aldo Rossi (1931–1997) was an outstanding Italian architect and designer, combining rationalism with poetic Pode to form. Known for architecture inspired by the history and memory of the place, he created everyday objects with equal passion. He collaborated with Alessi (il conico kettle, La Cupola Ekspres), Molteni & C (Paris chair, Elba wardrobe), {105}} (febo lamp) and uniform. His designs are characterized by pure geometry, references to the classics and exceptional attention to detail. Rossi was the first Italy to receive Pritzker (1990). His work had a huge impact on contemporary design and architecture.
