Marcel Wanders

Marcel Wanders is one of the most recognizable contemporary designers, known for its brave, theatrical style and combining classics with modernity. Born in the Netherlands, he gained international fame thanks to the Knotted Chair chair project (1996), and his works are characterized by rich ornaments and a strong emotional charge. In 2001, he co -founded the brand Moooi, which is still awarding a characteristic artistic direction. Wanders designs furniture, lighting, ceramics, as well as the interior of hotels and residences. His projects balance on the border of design and art, delighting with form, scale and narrative. Known for the slogan "Bringing the Human Touch Back to Design", brings to design poetics, irony and emotions.
