With the reissue of the iconic Model 2050, Astep continues its work of bringing to life the designs of the great Italian masters of light, creating in the same spirit of the exploration of new materials that brought to life Albini, Helga and Sarfatti. It does this with environmental sensitivity in mind, thanks to the use of Green Cast, a 100% recycled and recyclable material, patented and manufactured in Italy. Thanks to the brushed Emu Green Cast finish used in the new diffuser, Model 2050 is characterized by timeless elegance.
Franco Albini and Franca Helg are icons of the Italian design of the 20th century, whose cooperation resulted in numerous timeless furniture and lighting projects. Albini, a pioneer of Italian modernism, combined craftsmanship with innovative technical solutions, creating light, functional forms. From 1952, he collaborated with Franca Helg - an architect and designer with whom he created for brands such as Cassina, Arflex and Arteluce. Their projects, incl. The famous chairs or lamps are distinguished by subtle elegance, precision and respect for the material. The Albini & Helg duo is a synonym of Italian aesthetics - classic and modern. Their works to this day remain an inspiration in the world of architecture and design.
