Vittoriano Vigano

Vittoriano Viganò was an outstanding Italian architect and designer considered one of the leading representatives of post -war brutism in Italy. His works were characterized by formal courage, severity of materials and deep humanism. He collaborated with Gio Pontim and ran his own studio, creating both public buildings and interior and furniture designs. He experimented with be Ton, iron and glass, combining the function with expressive aesthetics. Viganò was also a professor at the Milan University of Technology, where he influenced subsequent generations of architects. His work, combining rationalism with expression, remains an inspiration for contemporary designers and a testimony of a strong relationship of architecture with the social and urban context.
