Emma Silvestris is an Italian designer known from poetic Pode ście for utility forms. A graduate of foreign literature and art history, has been in the field of design since 1990, cooperating, among others with the Special Studio design office in Bari. Her most recognizable "Mediterraneo" collection for the brand Alessi, created in cooperation with Laura Polinoro (LPWK), derives inspiration from the corals, combining organic shapes with precise craftsmanship. Silvestris designs, such as bowls or towels, combine female lines with geometric elegance and symbolism of nature. Her works, which are a combination of art and functionality, have gained recognition around the world, making her one of the leading figures of modern Italian design.
