FLOS 2097/18 is an iconic hanging lamp, designed in 1958 by Gino Sarfatti. It is the smallest model from the 2097 series, inspired by classic chandeliers, but in a modern edition. Lamp frame made of steel rods, varnished in black, matte. The lamp arms are slender and spreading around the central shaft.
Number of light points: 18 bulbs sockets. Maximum bulb power: 15W per light point. Recommended light source: LED bulbs or decorative filament bulbs.
Hanging lamp 2097/18 by FLOS is available in two versions of bulbs finishing: Clear Bulbs (transparent) and Frosted Bulbs (dairy). They differ in the light effect - transparent give a more expressive, point light, while milk scatter them more subtle, creating a more delicate atmosphere.
Gino Sarfatti was an outstanding Italian lighting designer considered one of the most important pioneers of modern design in this field. In 1939 he founded the Arteluce brand, which introduced a modern design to Italian lighting design. The engineer by education, designed over 600 lamp models, combining technological precision with an elegant, timeless form. He experimented with new materials, such as aluminum or plexiglass, creating projects ahead of their times. His most famous work is the ceiling lamp 2097 - an icon of modern design. Sarfatti's works are in the collections of museums around the world.
