Zaha Hadid

Zaha Hadid was an Iraqi-British architect and one of the most outstanding figures of contemporary architecture. Known for brave, dynamic forms and futuristic aesthetics, she broke the traditional design limits. Her work was characterized by liquid lines, asymmetry and innovative use of technology. She was the first woman who received Pritzker (2004), as well as the RIBA award (2016). Her most famous projects include the center of Heydar Alijew in Baku, Maxxi in Rome and the opera in Kan Ton. Hadid also created furniture, utility facilities and installations. Her work combined art, science and modern engineering, changing the perception of architecture as a form of expression.
