Inga Sempe

Inga Sempé is a valued French designer, known for creating everyday objects with subtle aesthetics and functionality. A graduate of Ensci-Les Ateliers (1993), in the years 2000–2001 she was a scholarship holder of Villa Medici in Rome. In 2000, she founded her own studio in Paris, where she cooperates with a team of designers. She collaborated with reputable brands, such as Ligne Roset, Alessi, HAY, Wästberg, Magis, Cappellini, Edra and Luceplan. Her designs combine minimalism of form with attention to detail and utility. Sempé won the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris (2003) and Red Dot Design Award (2007). Her design philosophy is based on the creation of available and functional items that fit into the everyday life of users.
