Massimo Giacon

Massimo Giacon, born in 1961 in Padua, is a versatile Italian artist acting in Milan as a cartoonist, illustrator, designer, musician and performer. From the 1980s, he co -founded the revival of the Italian comic, publishing in magazines such as "Frigidaire", "Linus" and "Nova Express". In 1981, he co -founded the Multimedia project of TRAX, combining art, music and performance. In 1985 he began working with Ettore Sottsass, designing for companies such as Alessi, swatch, Artemide and Memphis. His designs include ceramics, glass, fabrics and everyday objects. As a musician, he released the albums "Horror Vacui" (1996) and "La Città Ideale" (2003), and currently performs with the band Massimo Giacon & the Blass. Since 1997, he has been lecturing at Istituto European di Design in Milan. His work combines pop-art, irony and mass culture, which makes him one of the most original figures of Italian design and contemporary art.
