The Wirering wall lamp by the Italian brand Flos is a unique project by Formafantasma - a studio known for its experimental Pode approach to form and material. A modern light sculpture that becomes an integral element of interior design. A composition of just two elements: a light-emitting ring and a flat cable that attaches the lamp to the wall and becomes part of its visual structure. The lack of a traditional body makes the lamp seem to almost float in the air, emanating a subtle, diffused light.
The ring is made of anodized aluminum, the diffuser is made of translucent silicone and the tube is made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). A perfect lamp for modern living spaces; living room, bedroom or corridor, as well as for commercial interiors such as showroom, gallery, boutique.
Formfantasma is a duo of designers Andrea Trimarchchi and Simone Farresin, from Italy who met during their studies at design Academy Eindhoven. Their studio operates in Amsterdam and focuses on design as a research tool. Formfantasma's work balances between design and art, combining craft, technology and social reflection. Projects often examine human relationships with nature, sustainable use of materials and the impact of technology on the environment. Experiments with natural raw materials, such as wood, volcanic stones and bioplastics are characteristic. The duo collaborated with brands such as Flos, Cassina, Lexus or Droog, and their works are in the MOMA collections in New York and Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
