Product description

UOVO lamp has been a great success in the field of modern design, thanks to its Emu ore ostonic Emu at the same time elegant Emu design. A well -established style icon is one of the most representative designs of the Italian brand Fontana Arte. This modern table lamp is the embodiment of absolute lightness, an elegant form made of white, satin glass that emits warm, uniform light. The basis is made of white painted metal.

The lamp is available in three sizes. Black power cable, plug and switch. European bipolar plug (the bulb is not included in the set).

Design

Ben Swildens

Ben Swildens

Ben Swildens is a Dutch designer and architect, combining design, architecture and sculpture. He studied at École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, where he collaborated with Max Ingrand. In 1966 he designed for Peugeot a desk and lamp, and in 1972 he created an iconic UOVO lamp for Fontanaarte. In 1985 he founded his own studio, focusing on projects integrating furniture, architecture and sculpture. His work is characterized by minimalism, precision of form and a combination of functionality with artistic expression. Swildens' designs also include monumental sculptures made of metal, wood and fiberglass, presented at international exhibitions.
