Snowball is a modern look at the classic Bauhaus style lamp, showing how futuristic and cubist styles of the interwar period can still function today. The metal core of the lamp is anchored in a streamlined base consisting of rectangular shapes rising up to keep the lampshade made of matte glass. The shade rests on a daughter -shaped pedestal balanceing the sharp angles of the base with an ideal, round ball that exudes with soft light.
Snowball lamp appears as a floor lamp and a table lamp. Both versions are 4 colors to choose from; Black, white, steel and brass.
Designer; Trond Svendggård
Trond Svendgård is a Norwegian designer and chef, born in Rognan. As a co -founder of the brand Northern lighting (currently Northern) in 2005, he debuted as a designer with a snowball lamp - a minimalist project inspired by Bauhaus aesthetics, combining a steel base with inflatable glass. This lamp has become an icon of Scandinavian design and sold in over 25? 000 copies. In 2008, together with Ove Rogne, he created a MOO wall lamp in the shape of an elk head in a 1: 1 scale. Made of translucent polyester resin, this lamp emits soft light, combining humor with Norwegian symbolism.
