Primate is an innovative chair designed to offer a double seating option; classic and one that resembles Japanese friends sitting on the ground resting on their knees and supported by their heels, achieving the correct posture called seiza. This modern seat is a perfect example of the creative thinking of the great masters of Italian design or a completely new way of shaping objects in our lives, looking at the almost spontaneous gestures and natural behavior of people in everyday life.
The Primate armchair is made of innovative materials. Flexible polyurethane upholstery, element connecting the seat with the backrest made of 18/8 stainless steel. Leather or Ecofire fabric cover.

Achille Castiglioni (1918–2002) was one of the greatest Italian designers of the 20th century, known for combining functionality with humor and innovation. He studied architecture in Milan and worked with his brothers for years, creating iconic projects for brands such as FLOS (Arco, Taccia, Toio), Zanotta (Mezzadro, Cumano) or Alessi (Dry). He was famous for the ability to transform everyday objects into the highest test design. His works are characterized by minimalism, ingenuity and a timeless form. Winner of many awards, including Nine Compasso d’Oro. His works are in museum collections around the world, including MoMA.
