Nicoletta Rossi and Guido Bianchi are an Italian duo of designers specializing in lighting, who in 2006 founded the Rossi Bianchi Lighting Design studio in Milan. They are both graduates of Politecnico di Milano, and they also gained experience abroad - Rossi, among others in the USA, and Bianchi in Switzerland. Their work is based on studying the role of light in architecture and public space, combining functionality with moodiness. Designs are characterized by minimalist aesthetics, sensitivity to proportions and subtle poetics of light, which shapes the atmosphere of the interior. Rossi and Bianchi cooperate with reputable brands, such as Artemide, for which they created award -winning lamp collections, including Empathy.
