A modern dining chair from the catalog of the Danish brand Northern. In this project, Nordic know-how meets the art of Japanese joinery in a distinctive format. The Oaki chair was inspired by the simplicity and artistry characteristic of Japanese wood craftsmanship.

The Oaki chair in a smooth version is available in 3 colors/wood color; light oak, smoked oak and black oak (the black version is also available with a padded leather seat).
Stine Aas is a Norwegian furniture and products designer, living and working in Bergen. She graduated from the design of space and furniture for Bergen Academy of Art and Design in 2015, after which she founded her own design studio. Her projects combine simplicity with character, derived from everyday interactions between people and objects. AAS creates objects that are both functional and aesthetically thought out, often using natural materials and subtle details. One of its most famous projects is the Oaki chair for the brand Northern, which combines Nordic craftsmanship with Japanese aesthetics. This chair was appreciated for its elegance and innovative Pode to traditional carpentry techniques.
