Alessandro Mendini

Alessandro Mendini was an outstanding, Italian architect, designer and design theoretician, known for its colorful, expressive style and participation in postmodern movements, such as Alchimia and Memphis. He combined art with design, giving objects to everyday use poetic and often ironic character. He designed for such brands as Alessi (iconic wine cork Anna G.), Kartell, Zanotta, Venini, Swatch, Bisazza, Magis or superego editions. He also collaborated with the brand Foscarini and created unique furniture and ceramics. His works are in the MOMA and Center Pompidou collections.
