Rainer Daumiller is a German designer known for its characteristic furniture made of solid wood, especially chairs and tables from the 70s. His most popular projects produced by Hirtshals Sawmill are distinguished by a sculptural form, soft lines and ergonomics. Inspired by nature and Scandinavian functionalism, Daumiller created durable furniture with strong material identity especially from pine, whose jars were part of aesthetics. His chairs with armrests have become an icon of rustic modernism and today they are eagerly resumed and collected.
