Norman Foster

Norman Foster is a British architect and designer, one of the leading representatives of the high-tech and modernism. Born in 1935 in Manchester, he graduated from architecture at the University of Manchester and the prestigious Yale University. In 1967 he founded his own studio Foster + Partners, which became one of the most influential in the world. Foster is the author of such icons as the Swiss Re tower in London ("Cucumber"), Millennium Bridge, or the expansion of the Reichstag in Berlin. His style combines modern technologies with concern for the environment and functionality of space. Winner of numerous awards including the Pritzker award and the noble title. In addition to large buildings, Foster also designs everyday objects, including for Stelton, where he created an elegant collection of kitchen accessories.
