Bonbori collection designed by the world -famous Japanese designer Fuma Shibata is available in both indoor and outdoor versions. This modern lamp has been inspired by traditional paper lamps that decorate paths to chapels and caves during annual rice festivals in Japan. The delicate light of the Bonbori lamp pays tribute to the traditional Japanese lighthouse.
The presented lamp uses a base made of powder -painted steel. The lampshade is made of hand -inflatable glass in a smoky color while the internal diffuser with laser cut -out holes made of stainless steel.
Fuma Shibata is an outstanding Japanese designer of industrial design known for its minimalist, elegant style and attention to detail. She graduated from Musashino Art University, and in 1994 she founded her own studio Design Studio S. Her work includes a wide range from medical equipment through consumer electronics to interior design and lifestyle accessories. Shibata projects show harmony of form and functions as well as deep respect for the user. The artist is known, among others from projects for brands such as Muji, Omron or Toshiba. Awarded many times, incl. The Good Design Award and Red regarding Fuma Shibata combines modern aesthetics with Japanese tradition, creating subtle objects, but at the same time expressive and perfectly fitting into a modern lifestyle.
