Bestlite Bl9 Large Chrome-Biała Gubi Hanging Lamp

Bestlite hanging lamp and the whole collection saw light in 1930. The lamp was designed by Robert Dudley Best. The presented model is available in 2 finishing variants to choose from. The lamp is powered by a maximum of 30W-halogen, E27 (the bulb is not included in the set).

The lamp was made of a combination of powder -painted steel and chrome steel.

Robert Dudley Best was a British designer who revolutionized the lighting industry. As a heir to Best & Lloyd, he decided to create a modern collection of lamps, introducing innovative design. He studied design in Düsseldorf and Paris, where he met Walter Gropius, the founder of Bauhaus, which had an impact on his later work. In 1930 he designed the Bestlite lamp, combining functionality with elegance with simple lines and geometric shapes. The lamp gained international recognition especially after Wins Ton Churchill chose it to his desk. Bestlite has become a symbol of modern design, and today it is produced by the brand Gubi, being an icon of the Bauhaus style. His works remain an important reference point in the history of design.
