Grossman G10 Gubi Floor Lamp

A unique Grete M. Grossman project for the Danish brand Gubi. The timeless design of the G10 floor lamp is simplicity and functionality in one. The project is wonderfully presenting at the turn of the years to this day.

The lamp is characterized by a characteristic lampshade, giving space pleasant light, as well as a rough surface and contrasting details from polished brass, which determine the unique appearance of the lamp. The G-10 floor lamp has a sophisticated luxurious charm combined with an industrial character, which gives expression of being a classic and at the same time contemporary design.

Greta Grossman

Greta Magnusson Grossman was a Swedish furniture designer and architect, considered one of the pioneers of modernism in Los Angeles. In 1940 she moved to the USA, where she became a key figure in California modernism. Her projects combined European influence with the American lifestyle, which attracted the attention of Hollywood stars. Her most famous works include the Grasshopper lamp (1947) and Cobra (1950). She also designed innovative furniture and buildings, including modern houses in Los Angeles. Her works were characterized by a simple form, slender lines and functionality. Magnusson-Grossman is considered a design icon, whose work enjoy great recognition to this day.
