A well -established style icon, UOVO lamp is one of the most representative designs of the Italian brand Fontana Arte. This modern lamp can be successfully used outside as a table and floor model. Ben Swildens is a Dutch designer and architect, combining design, architecture and sculpture. He studied at École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, where he collaborated with Max Ingrand. In 1966 he designed for Peugeot a desk and lamp, and in 1972 he created an iconic UOVO lamp for Fontanaarte. In 1985 he founded his own studio, focusing on projects integrating furniture, architecture and sculpture. His work is characterized by minimalism, precision of form and a combination of functionality with artistic expression. Swildens' designs also include monumental sculptures made of metal, wood and fiberglass, presented at international exhibitions.
