The Turbo Pendant lamp was created in 1965 and has achieved great success over the years. The design is very elegant and yet simple in form. The design was inspired by the lightness of a paper lamp, but in a more durable and stable version. The lamp is made of a metal structure.
The lamp is available in two sizes; 36 cm and 62 cm.
Louis Weisdorf is a Danish designer and architect known for his innovative lamps from the 1960s and 1970s. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and his career included graphic, industrial and interior design. He collaborated with Tivoli Gardens and designers such as Verner PanTon and Poul Henningsen. His most famous designs are the Konkylie, Facet, Turbo and Multi-Lite lamps. His works, produced by Lyfa, have become icons of Danish design. Currently, Weisdorf lamps are offered by the Gubi brand. The designer remains one of the most respected creators in the history of Danish design.
