Upholstered elements have been finished with Lorkey outdoor fabric (Limonta 40) designed for modern terraces or swimming pool spaces. Joe Colombo was an Italian designer who became famous for futuristic, innovative furniture and utility items. He studied painting and architecture in Milan, and began his career as an avant -garde artist. In the 1960s, he created iconic projects like an ELDA armchair, modular systems or Acrilica lamp. His furniture was often mobile, transforming, designed for the lifestyle of the future. Colombo believed in flexible, compact spaces and designed all "life systems". His aesthetics connected plastic, metal and new technologies. Today his heritage continues, among others Mark Gubi, which restored the design of the Basket chair from the 1960s, faithfully reflecting its original spirit. Despite his short life, Colombo left a lasting trace in the history of design.
