Michel Boucquillon

Michel Boucquillon is a Belgian architect and designer born in 1962. He graduated from the University of Saint Luke in Brussels in 1986. In 1988, at the age of 26, he won the competition for the Hemicyk of the European Parliament in Brussels, which opened the door to his career in the field of design. In 2000 he moved to Tuscany, where he founded "Casa Boucquillon" - a unique place connecting the house, studio and design laboratory. He cooperates there with his wife, Donia Maaoui, an architect, sculptor and painter. His designs include furniture, lighting and accessories for reputable brands, such as Alessi, Artemide, an Ton ore, Martinelli Luce or Salvatore Ferragamo. He is a laureate of many international awards, including Menzione d'Anore Compasso d’Oro 2011, Good Design Award 2008 and Design Plus 2006.
