Designed in 1951, the Daystak table is a perfect example of designer Robin Day's meticulous attention to detail and celebration of the materials used. The table top is covered with a durable, soft-touch and fingerprint-resistant Fenix coating. Showcasing the same distinctive A-shaped legs, the Daystak table and chairs create a unique mid-century style set. The Daystak table is not only a functional piece of furniture, but also a real work of art that fits perfectly into modern space arrangements.
Robin Day was one of the most important British furniture designers of the 20th century. He became famous for the creation of functional, modern forms of democratic character, available to a wide audience. Working with Hille, he created iconic projects, including Hillestak chair and furniture for the Royal Festival Hall in London. In 2024, Danish Mark & Tradition restored to the production of selected Daya projects, creating Days and RFH collections, showing the timelessness of his design. Daya aesthetics combined innovative technologies, such as bent plywood, with a simple, logical construction. His works remain icons of modernism, and thanks to cooperation with & tradition they go to the new generation of users.
