Giuseppe Terragni

Giuseppe Terragni was an Italian architect considered one of the main representatives of Italian rationalism. He graduated from the Milan University of Technology, and at a young age he gained publicity as a co -creator of modernist architecture in Italy. His most famous work is Casa del Fascio in Como (1936) - a building recognized as an icon of modernist architecture, combining geometric precision with transparency of function. Terragni sought harmony of form, structure and ideas, referring to a classic tradition in a modern interpretation. He also worked on interior and furniture designs, gaining recognition for consistent Pode in space. Despite his short life, his achievements had a huge impact on the development of 20th century architecture in Italy and outside, becoming an inspiration for many later artists.
