Poker is undoubtedly a unique table from the Italian brand catalog Zanotta. Designed by the Italian design master Joe Colombo. This modern table is a contemporary reinterpretation of the poker game table, where the surface is fully made made of laminated plastic, which was used for construction purposes, perhaps for the first time in the history of modern design. The top was additionally covered with removable, green cloth. The ashtrays are tilted at the corner, while the legs are made of 18/8 stainless steel.
Joe Colombo was an Italian designer who became famous for futuristic, innovative furniture and utility items. He studied painting and architecture in Milan, and began his career as an avant -garde artist. In the 1960s, he created iconic projects like an ELDA armchair, modular systems or Acrilica lamp. His furniture was often mobile, transforming, designed for the lifestyle of the future. Colombo believed in flexible, compact spaces and designed all "life systems". His aesthetics connected plastic, metal and new technologies. Today his heritage continues, among others Mark Gubi, which restored the design of the Basket chair from the 1960s, faithfully reflecting its original spirit. Despite his short life, Colombo left a lasting trace in the history of design.
