Ball Magnet Petroleum Frandsen Wall Lamp

Ball is a Danish design classic created by Benny Frandesen in 1968. In 2018, the Ball lamp celebrated its 50th anniversary. Thanks to T Emu that the lampshade is kept in a spherical form the light will fall to a specific place (the shade was connected to the mounting with a magnet, thanks to cz Emu it can be turned around its own axis).

Ball wall model is found in rich colors. The lamp is powered by an E14 bulb with max. power up to 40W.

Benny Frandsen

Benny Frandsen is a recognized, Danish designer and founder of the brand Frandsen Lighting, born in Skanderborg. Electrician engineer by profession, in 1968 he began producing lamps in the basement of his home, which initiated his career in the field of lighting. His groundbreaking design was the Ball lamp, a spherical wall luminaire with a magnetic mount, which quickly gained popularity and became a icon of Danish design. In 1972, Frandsen moved production to the factory in Skanderborg to meet the growing of Emu demand. In 1996 he bought the company and renamed it into Frandsen Lighting a/s. In 2005 he purchased the brand Verpan, obtaining the rights to the production of Verner PAN Ton a. His works characterized by functionality and minimalism have won numerous international awards and remain an inspiration in the world of design.
