Gabriel Tan

Gabriel Tan is a Singapore industrial designer and founder Gabriel Tan Studio, operating since 2016 in Singapore and Porto. In his work he combines craftsmanship, culture and technology reinterpreting traditional forms and techniques. He is the creative director of the Japanese brand Ariake and a co -founder of the Portuguese brand Origin Made promoting local craftsmanship. He collaborated with companies such as B&B Italia, Herman Miller, MENU or Blå Station. His projects, such as the Quiet Lines or Charred Vases collection, combine minimalism with organic forms. Tan won, among others Idea Award and Japan Good Design Award. His studio Antimatter implements selected interior design projects focusing on the harmony of space and objects.
