Sami Kallio is a Finnish-Swedish designer and craftsman, whose work combines Scandinavian minimalism with deep respect for traditional craftsmanship. He was born in Helsinki, but grew up in Gothenburg, where he also runs his studio. Kallio specializes in furniture design, especially chairs, using classic carpentry techniques, such as wood turning or hot forming. His work is characterized by the purity of the form, functionality and precise performance.
