In 1939, Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen won the open competition for the project of the new town hall, the new library and theater in Søllerød (Rudersdal). For the town hall they designed the wedding hall along with the accompanying furniture; In this sofa to the waiting room where the couple can sit before the wedding. The sofa appearance designed for the ceremony was shaped by high vertical backrests and sides.
