The Ray pendant lamp was designed by the Danish design studio PederJessen. The lamp clearly refers to Nordic minimalism, while being highly energy-saving and ecological. The wooden, oval lampshade is placed inside a steel housing with magnets, thanks to which the user can direct the light beam in any direction.
Pederjessen is a Danish design studio founded in 2015 by Søren Pedersen and Lasse Jessen, graduates of the University of South Denmark in the field of industrial design engineering. Artists specialize in furniture and lighting design, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies. Their Pode Jat for design is holistic; From concept to the final product with an emphasis on functionality, aesthetics and durability. The studio is known for experimenting with new materials and technologies, which allows them to create innovative and aesthetic products. They work with reputable brands, such as Mater, for which they designed a collection of Ray lamps, characterized by a minimalist design and the use of natural materials such as wood and steel.
