a few words about the designer
Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen as the son of the famous Danish writer Agnes Henningsen. Throughout his life, the designer tried to create glare-free light and direct it where it was most needed. Poul Henningsen designed Snowball in 1958. This modern lamp was exhibited together with the PH 5 at the Danish Museum of Decorative Arts.

Henningsen was also a supporter of design democratization, believing that beauty and functionality should be available to everyone.
