Petra Vb3 Oak Karakorum 003 Andtradition Armchair

Petra VB3 is a continuation of the great success of the smaller version of this unique chair, i.e. Little Petra. This is one of the few projects by Viggo Boesen, which in the 1930s associated with the characteristic Danish design aesthetics called Funkis style. Petra VB3 has the same brave character, but captivates with a slightly larger form.

The Petra VB3 armchair is available in a large palette of upholstery fabrics as well as with the ability to choose properly finished, wooden legs (attached arrangement photos are illustrated by the Petra VB3 armchair in various, available upholstery fabrics).

Viggo Boesen

Viggo Boesen was a Danish architect and designer, active in the 1930s and 1940s known from the contribution to the development of the Funkis style - a Danish interpretation of functionalism. His designs such as the "Little Petra" armchair from 1938 were characterized by soft lines, organic forms and coziness, contrasting with the dominant modernism. Boesen used natural materials like wood and rattan to create furniture combining aesthetics with comfort. His works were presented at exhibitions, gaining recognition for innovative Pode to design. Although for some time he remained in the shadow of the more famous contemporary, his projects are experiencing a renaissance thanks to contemporary reissues, emphasizing the timelessness of his vision.
