Pierre Paulin

Pierre Paulin was a French designer who revolutionized furniture design in the 20th century, combining modernity with an organic form. He graduated from École Camondo in Paris, and he gained fame in the 1950s and 1960s thanks to cooperation with Arthfort. His best -known projects are Mushroom armchairs, ribbon or Ton gua - sculptural, covered with stretch material, perfectly matching the body. Paulin rejected the classic form of a chair in favor of liquid, one -piece structures. He also designed interiors for the Elysee Palace during the President of Pompidou.
