The Ode Chair originally called model 9 was designed by Arnold Madsen around 1956. This modern reinterpretation of a classic chair from the 50s has a complex horseshoe design with an integrated headboard and beautifully built -in wood armrests.

The armchair is available with legs made of natural oak or nut in various upholstery colors (the version of the presented chair is fixed with the Hallingdal fabric of the Scandinavian leader in the textile brand industry Kvadrat).

Arnold Madsen

Arnold Madsen was a Danish furniture designer and upholstery known for elegant, hand -made projects that are today considered a classic of Scandinavian modernism. He worked in Denmark for many years, he worked in Copenhagen, where he founded his own Madsen & Schubell studio. His most recognizable work is the "Clam Chair" armchair from 1944, which is distinguished by soft, organic lines and a cozy form resembling a shell. Madsen often experimented with form and technique, combining wood with luxurious upholstery, which ensured its projects with a timeless character. Although for years he remained less known than its contemporary, today his furniture achieves high prices at auctions and are a symbol of the Danish design of the 20th century.
