Stub is an elegant side table in a timeless combination of wood and glass. Inspired by the landscapes of wooden trunks, the stub (which means "stump" in Danish) has a transparent, glass top, which floats around the veneered base without visible screws or fastenings.

A few words about the author of the project
Mette Schelde is a Danish designer min. furniture and lighting. Her designs are functional and made of simple constructions. Her experience in architecture is visible in the design process, in which the interaction between the object, context and man is an important part of her Pode to work. Mette Schelde Studio has received several nominations and awards and is supported by the Danish Foundation of Art.
Mette Schelde is a Danish designer, known for creating lighting, furniture and spatial installations connecting art with functional design. She was born in 1985 and graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture. In 2012, she founded her own studio in Copenhagen. Her designs are distinguished by a graphic form, minimalism and strong rooting in Nordic aesthetics. He works with recognized brands such as PLEASE WAIT to be SEATED, woud, Fritz Hansen or Bang & Olufsen. Particular recognition was obtained by the lamp "Planet", whose sculptural character and modularity show her Pode Jat to light as a spatial form. Schelde has won many awards, including the Danish Design Award and IF Design Award. Her work balances between architecture and utility art, emphasizing the role of light, shade and interaction in everyday space.
