Medusa collection is a unique series of ceramic vases and trays, inspired by the characteristic shapes of the jellyfish. Soft, oval lines and subtle details refer to the delicate forms of sea creatures, combining natural lightness with sculptural elegance.
Each element rises slightly above the surface thanks to the small, conical legs, reminiscent of Medusa's tentacles. This subtle detail adds lightness to the project and makes Medus perfectly find both as a sculptural accent in the interior, as well as a functional vase or decorative vessel.
Made of ceramics and hand -glazed, products from the Medusa series have a unique texture and can slightly differ in color - this is a natural feature of manual production.
Project: Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl
Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl is a Danish duo of designers, which since 2015 has been creating for brands NORR11 and 101 Copenhagen. Hansen, a graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Kyoto Institute of Technology, combines Scandinavian simplicity with Japanese Aesthetics Wabi-Sabi creating minimalist, sculptural forms. Hyldahl, the founder of both brands draws on fashion experience and trend analysis by introducing bold, modern concepts. Their joint projects, such as the Hippo chair, sofa studio or Drop lamp are characterized by harmony of form and functions, are inspired by brutalist architecture and Japan's culture. Thanks to the combination of various experiences and passions, this duo creates timeless, expressive furniture and lighting that combine classic crafts with modern design.
