The porcelain used is fired at a very high temperature, making it durable and non-porous. The mug can be used in a microwave oven, but should not be used in a conventional oven.
Naoto Fukasawa is a Japanese industrial designer, known for his minimalist style and philosophy of "unknown design", in which the form results from the natural habits of the user. He was born in 1956, studied at Tama Art University in Tokyo. He started his career at Ideo in California, and after returning to Japan he founded his own studio. He collaborated with brands such as Muji, Herman Miller, B&B Italia, Alessi or Maruni. Fukasawa designs furniture, electronics and everyday items, always for harmony, minimalism and functions. His works are often awarded and staged all over the world. He is also an academic lecturer and a member of the design committee in technology companies.
