The Fragile lamp is a tribute to the archetypal table lamp. Fascinated by timeless design, designer Jaume Ramírez treated it as a starting point from which he began reflections and experiments, ultimately proposing an unusual design with geometric shapes. The cone and sphere enclose a light-emitting cylinder. In the form we find remnants of the past, contrasting with contemporary material. The lamp blends into the surroundings, and the delicate glass form reveals its interior. The lamp is equipped with a dimming mechanism, giving the user full control over the atmosphere in the interior.
Jaume Ramírez is a Spanish designer born in 1973 in Olot, he studied design at the Universitat Politécnica de Girona. He started his career in the Basque Country at the ZooCreative studio, and in 2019 he founded his own studio in Barcelona, specializing in furniture, lighting and accessories. His "Delica" collection of trays won Delta de Oro, Red Dot Design and Design Plus awards. Ramírez has collaborated with brands such as Normann Copenhagen and Marset. His works were presented at the Saint?Étienne Biennale, Designers Days in Paris and at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
