Peter Johansen

Peter Johansen is a Danish furniture and space designer who graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2004. After graduation, he founded his own design studio Peter Johansen/0501 in Copenhagen. His work is inspired by everyday life and surroundings, and the projects are characterized by logical Pode Jest and flirt with triviality. Johansen often works with models on a 1: 1 scale, which allows him to carefully refine the proportions and functionality of products. One of its most famous projects is the Curve hanger for Normann Copenhagen, which combines a classic form with a modern expression. Johansen drew inspiration from the Danish design of the 1950s, adding his own minimalist view of the design process.
